Sites in Bhutan get stuck. On Wix, paying US$ 17 a month by a card that keeps getting declined. On a shared host in India that has not answered a ticket since 2023. On a WordPress install a former developer set up and nobody can log into. A migration moves the site somewhere you own and someone watches, without losing a page or a Google result on the way.
What this looks like
First, an inventory. We crawl the current site and list every page, image, form and URL. You see the list before anything moves, so nothing is forgotten.
Then the move. WordPress to WordPress is a copy, checked plugin by plugin. Wix and Squarespace do not export properly, so pages are rebuilt one at a time on a staging link that looks like the old site, with your text and images carried across.
Then redirects. Every old address is mapped to the new one and tested, because a link in a Facebook post from 2019 is still a customer. Forms are tested to your inbox. Lighthouse scores are recorded before and after, so you can see the difference rather than take our word for it.
How we work
The old site stays up throughout. The switch is a DNS change that takes minutes, done on a weekday morning, Bhutan Time, so we are awake if anything needs attention. We watch Google Search Console for a week afterwards and fix whatever it complains about.
Small sites take 3 days. A 40-page Wix site with a blog takes closer to 10.

Inventory

Questions people ask first.
01 We are on Wix. Will we lose our Google rankings?
Not if every old URL redirects to its new page, which is most of the work. We map them all, test each one and send Google the new sitemap. Rankings may wobble for 2 to 3 weeks and then settle. Sites that skip the redirects are the ones that lose.
02 Can you move a site built by a developer who has disappeared?
Usually. If you have the hosting or domain login, we can take a full copy. If you have neither, we rebuild from the live site, page by page, and register a domain in your name; it takes longer and we say so up front.
03 Will the site go down during the move?
No. The new copy is built on a temporary link while the old site keeps running. The switch is a DNS change that takes minutes, done on a weekday morning so we are awake if anything needs a hand.
04 How do we pay?
In Nu. by mBoB or BoB transfer, half to begin and half when the switch is done and checked. Clients paying from abroad use US$ by card or bank transfer.
